Sushant Singh Rajput suicide: Police to seek Twitter help for information on actor’s missing tweets


The Mumbai Police investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput will be writing to Twitter to find out about the late actor’s missing tweets.

A police source said that the investigating team will be writing to inquire about the activity on the verified Twitter handle of the late actor. There have been reports that Sushant had deleted some of his last tweets from his official handle. The last tweet that’s visible on the actor’s Twitter handle, @itsSSR, is from December 27, 2019. Police will be writing to Twitter India to seek details on the reportedly deleted tweets. Some of the screenshots of the said deleted tweets have been shared on social media.

Meanwhile, some of the websites that have reported stories with speculated theories on the reasons behind the actor’s death could be summoned for questioning on their sources regarding the stories. Police have till date questioned over 23 people, including Sushant’s father, his two sisters and actress Rhea Chakraborty, whose statements have been recorded.

On Wednesday, the police recorded the statement of a chartered accountant who handled the actor’s finances.

The final post mortem report submitted to police by a team of five doctors has stated asphyxia due to hanging as the cause of death. The report said no foul play has been found. There were no struggle marks on the body or any ligatures found in his nails.
