Ronit Roy’s face-covering tutorial to keep Coronavirus away used by US Protesters to evade face recognition


A few weeks before Ronit Roy shared a video tutorial on how to turn a T-shirt into a face mask amid the novel coronavirus? “No mask? Tension nahi Leneka! Simple hai,” he wrote in the tweet.

In a simple hack, the actor turned a T-shirt into a mask that covers almost the entire face except the eyes.

Now, this tutorial is being used by people in the US, who are protesting against the death of George Floyd, to cover their face and evade facial recognition. A Twitter user with the handle @MRCRUZv3 shared Ronit Roy’s video and wrote, “If anyone is protesting today, here’s a way to make a balaclava mask with a T-shirt.”

The video has gone viral and is being widely circulated among the protesters. At the time of writing this copy, the video had already garnered 2.5 million views. Meanwhile, several netizens took to the comments section to share that they found the tutorial useful. Some of them even shared their pictures in the T-shirt mask.

A user pointed out that the tutorial by Ronit Roy was meant to keep the coronavirus at bay.
