Now, this tutorial is being used by people in the US, who are protesting against the death of George Floyd, to cover their face and evade facial recognition. A Twitter user with the handle @MRCRUZv3 shared Ronit Roy’s video and wrote, “If anyone is protesting today, here’s a way to make a balaclava mask with a T-shirt.”

The video has gone viral and is being widely circulated among the protesters. At the time of writing this copy, the video had already garnered 2.5 million views.
