Neha Narkhede is an American billionaire technology entrepreneur and the co-founder and former CTO of Confluent, a streaming data technology company. She co-created the open source software platform Apache Kafka. Narkhede now serves as a board member of Confluent. . Before founding Confluent, she led streams infrastructure at LinkedIn

As a LinkedIn software engineer, she helped develop Apache Kafka to handle the networking site’s huge influx of data. Narkhede now serves as a board member of Confluent. In 2020, she was listed as one of America’s Self-Made Women by Forbes. Neha Narkhede is building what she calls a “central nervous system” for companies’ data.

Previously, she led the Kafka and Samza teams and was responsible for LinkedIn’s petabyte- scale streams infrastructure.

Self-made millionaire Neha Narkhede left India in 2006 to get her master’s in computer science at Georgia Tech. After graduating in 2007, she landed a job at Oracle and then at LinkedIn, where she worked as a software engineer.
