Gujarat Covid-19 Quarantine Rules

Gujarat reported 1,404 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Monday. While many districts say a drop in cases, Surat and Ahmedabad reached a new peak. While Surat crossed the mark of 300 after over 2 months, with 302 cases, Ahmedabad breached the mark of 200 for the first time in the same period. The state’s total count reached 1,34,623 while the death toll rose to 3,431 with 12 more patients succumbing to the infection.In this situation, it is important to note the quarantine rules set by the government for the people arriving at the state.

Here are the quarantine rules for Gujarat:

Institutional Quarantine: 7 days

Domestic travelers who are asymptomatic will not be quarantined.

Travelers may also seek exemption from institutional quarantine by submitting a negative RT-PCR test report, conducted within 96 hours prior to the journey, at arrival.

Home Quarantine: 7 days (post institutional quarantine)

COVID test: NA

Passenger Obligation:

• Passengers need to register before landing in Surat.
