The Bombay High Court on Wednesday considered Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s plea against the demolition of her office at Mumbai and ordered a stay on the drive till 3 pm tomorrow when the court will next hear the matter. Kangana’s lawyer had earlier moved the HC against the notice issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for “illegal construction” at her Mumbai office. The plea had sought a stay on the demolition process.
The Shiv Sena-controlled civic body started demolishising “illegal alterations” at her ‘Manikarnika Films Private Limited’ office at Pali Hill in Bandra West earlier today.
The 33-year-old actress, who is en route to Mumbai, has alleged she was being targeted because of her fight with the Maharashtra government and Shiv Sena. Ranaut, who was in her native state Himachal Pradesh for the past few months, left for Mumbai this morning.
