Jaiganesh Balakrishnan is a principal architect and fellow at Texas Instruments, an organization he joined quickly after finishing his PhD in 2002. He in the present day holds 75 patents. That’s an average of a patent every three months. He got PhD from Cornell College
An expert in the field of communications and signal processing, Jaiganesh Balakrishnan has developed multiple innovations in the areas of ultra wide band (UWB) communications, multi-band orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) system, digital video broadcast (DVB) receivers, mobile FM receivers, OFDM channel shortening and high speed data converters.
Balakrishnan has developed various high performance highly integrated, low current consumption system-on-chip solutions for mobile handsets that have improved user experience. He also succeeded in developing algorithms for the first fully integrated single chip DVB-H receiver in the industry which enabled low cost, low power solutions and enhanced the user experience in consumer devices.
